Young Scholars in Writing
1. Writing, rhetoric, composition, professional writing, technical writing, business writing, discourse analysis, writing technologies, peer tutoring in writing, writing process, writing in the disciplines, and related topics.

- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Your name and institutional affiliation do not appear on the manuscript.
- Article submissions are 10-25 pages double-spaced. Submissions longer than 25 pages will not be considered.
- First-Year Spotlight submissions are 5-25 pages double-spaced.
- Comments and Responses are 2-5 pages double-spaced.
- Your submission follows MLA format. (Exceptions: delete any MLA headers that include your name, and do not use a separate title page.)
- If your research involves human subjects, you've obtained IRB clearance for the research from your institution, or your faculty mentor has determined IRB review is unnecessary. (If you are unsure whether your research requires IRB review or whether your research has IRB clearance, consult with your faculty mentor.) Contact the Editor at [email protected] with any questions.
- You have notified your faculty mentor at your school of this submission and asked them to e-mail the Editor at [email protected] to certify that you are the author of the work you're submitting, and your undergraduate status.
